I Can't Hear You

I have perfect hearing. As a matter of fact, I hear so well that I sometimes discipline myself to distance myself from some conversations so that I do not hear what is being said and in many cases whispered. However, there was a short period in my life when I could not hear so well. I was working and I remember asking several callers to please turn the volume up on their phone so that I could hear them. What a surprise to learn that the problem was on my end and not theirs. It was a little frightening because I seemed to sense the isolation that comes with not being able to communicate effectively. Fortunately, I had heard some very good teaching on how God still heals today the same as He did in Bible times. Right then and there I decided to put my faith to work. Was it easy? No. The healing did not come right away. As I remember, it was about 3 days before it came back to its present state. I never did see a doctor so I cannot tell you any medical reason as to why this happened to me. I do know, however, that I'm ever so grateful for the experience because it opened the door for me to practice my faith in many other situations with great success. You say, I should have gone to the doctor! Sorry. I can't hear you. I choose to listen now

with a heart of faith.
