Why The Serpent

Why was the brass beaten into the very thing that they were trying to get away from?Jesus was beaten. He took upon himself our sins. We looked upon Him (Jesus) who took our sins upon Him. When you are bitten by a snake, the same venom that was used by the snake to poison you is the same venom used to make the serum to cure you. What was meant by Satan for a curse is become the blessing. The same sword that Goliath brought against David was the same sword used to cut off his own head. The serpent was used to show that one was coming who would take upon himself our sins and as we looked up at Him on the cross, we would see that He died so that we might live. (Numbers 21:6-9)
