28 Seasons of Life
Why are we here, on this earth I mean? What is our purpose and who cares? Am I the only one that ponders questions like this? I was always the question asker. I wanted to know and in my youth usually caused others to be somewhat agitated with me. I'm not sure that I have changed a lot even as an adult. However that is not the point I wish to make. I needed a standard with which to measure my life and existence on this earth. I don't know that everyone else needs one but for me it was and still is the Bible. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 helped me to get on the road to understanding at least some reasons for being here. There is a time to be born, a time to die, a time to plant, a time to pluck up, a time to kill, a time to heal, a time to break down, a time to build up, a time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, a time to dance, a time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace, a time to refrain from embracing, a time to get, a time to lose, a time to keep, a time to cast away, a time to rend, a time to sew, a time to keep silence, a time to speak, a time to love, a time to hate, a time of war and a time of peace.
