What If?

Do you know what a Catechism is? I cannot fully explain it other than to use a definition that I obtained from another source. Catechisms are doctrinal manuals - often in the form of questions followed by answers to be memorized - a format that has been used in non-religious or secular contexts as well. Now, are we clear? Well, if you are like me, it is still unclear. However, I do remember hearing of 2 people who were discussing the tenents of the catechisms of one's faith and one adamantly believed and the other did not. I could no more tell you what the particular tenent was than a man in the moon but I do remember the conclusion offered by the one who believed. He said, "if I live my life believing God according to the Bible and at the end of my life, I find that it was all a fake, I still will have lived a good life and would have no regrets. However, if you live your life as an unbeliever and die and subsequently stand before God, your destination will be eternal hell." That caught my attention. I could not then nor now give a dissertation on catechism but I do know that I do not want to spend eternity in hell. What if you could see the end from the beginning? Would you be able to make an eternal decision? What if?
