Honor to a Fool

Do you know what a slingshot is. It is a forked stick with an elastic band attached for shooting stones. The stone is placed in the pocket and drawn back in order to make a projectile toward a specific item. What if you were to bind the stone in the pocket. It would make the slingshot useless. The Bible speaks of a person doing such a thing as a fool (Proverbs 26:8). Do you know the purpose of the body that God has given you? What about your mouth? Do you use it to speak God's words? What about your ears? Do you use them to hear the Word of God, meditate, understand and use it in your life? We have been blessed with so many gifts from Jesus and the Holy Spirit; wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, healing, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, divers kinds of tongues, interpretation of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:8), ministry, teaching, exhortation, etc, (Romans 12:6-8). The Bible says that binding a stone in a sling is like giving honor to a fool. We have so many things that we could use in our sling for the glory of God but they are bound up in us and are not being used. Don't give honor to a fool.
