Consider The Source

Some insulting remark was just hurled and you took great offense as it was personally directed at you. It could have been about your looks, character, actions or whatever. No matter, the words cut into the core of your being. The see-saws of life are difficult to balance. Very rarely do they rest absolutely horizontal from the ground.

God said that you are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. From the dust of the ground, He made you. He blew His breath into your nostrils and you became a living soul. You are intertwined with Adam and from His generation to the present, God has marvelously provided for your every need and so many of your wants. He loved you so much that He gave His only Son to die on the cross for you that you could live.

Yes! He was crucified, died and buried but rose again from the dead. He gave you His power to tread over serpents and cast out devils. His love lives in you.

So...why is it that you you would consider these cutting remarks from the one who hurled them, above His? Consider the source!
