I Gave My Daughter to a Thief

The father was distraught. He had prayed for his daughter's husband from the day that she was born. Now he had walked her down the aisle and had given her to a man that he did not approve of. He was a nice man. He worked hard. He sincerely seemed to love his daughter and all his actions and visible lifestyle showed him to be a good provider.

You may ask then, "what is the problem?" The father stated that his new son-in-law is a Christian and he believes in God and that Jesus Christ is His Son. He goes to church regularly and is active in some of the ministries but that he does not tithe.

His companions were perplexed. Well, they asked what's so bad about that? The distraught father quoted from Malachi 3:8 ff. He explained that his new son-in-law robs God and if He robs God, he is a thief. Selah.
