Madona - Satisfied?

She is a star. Many people look up to her and admire her fame and fortune. She appears to be living the American dream. I wonder.

Listen to the words of a song that she wrote, I suppose that she wrote it. At least in the song she says that she wrote the lyrics. The song is called "American Life". I will not write all of the lyrics. Here are some that will give you a flavor for the entire song:

I got a lawyer and a manager An agent and a chef Three nannies, an assistant And a driver and a jet A trainer and a butler And a bodyguard or five A gardener and a stylist Do you think I'm satisfied? I'd like to express my extreme point of view I'm not Christian and I'm not a Jew I'm just living out the American dream And I just realized that nothing Is what it seems

It does not appear to me that she is satisfied. Jeremiah 33:3 tells Madona that she can call upon the Lord and he will answer her and show her great and mighty things that she does not know of. In Mark 8:4 Jesus' disciples asked how can a man satisfy all those people with bread in the wilderness. Jesus proceeded to take 7 loaves and a few small fish and feed 4 thousand with 7 baskets of food left over. I am comforted by Luke 12;29-31 to not seek after even what I shall eat or drink or any of the things that the nations of this world seek after but rather the kingdom of God. I am satisfied. Are you?
