All Roads Lead to God
Do you believe in God? This is a very familiar question often presented by those who are witnessing to another and desiring that they come to a knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Savior. There are some who adamantly deny the existence of God and some who just don't know. However, there are many who say, just as adamantly, "I believe in God".
I attempt to qualify the individual's answer by asking, "What 'God or god's' do you believe in? A plethora of responses usually follows, some giving the specific name of the God they believe in. There are too many to name and I choose not to name any lest there is the assumption that those not named are somehow different from the ones named.
I agree that all roads, and in this context, all religions lead to God. Some are led to God via the forgiveness of sins offered to them by the God of the Bible who gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life (John 3:16). Those who do not accept Jesus as the Son of God and receive Him as their Savior will also be led to God. They will stand at the White Throne judgement (Revelation 20:11-15) and anyone's name that is not written in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire. Yes. It is true, all religions lead to God. Some for life and some for death. I will trust in the Lord with all of my heart and not lean to my own understanding. I will acknowledge the Lord in all my ways and He will direct my path (Proverbs 3:5,6). Which road are you on?
