Lifestyle of a King

He was treated like a king according to the world's standards. He lounged on the couch, the deck or anywhere he desired. He ate gourmet food and dined on the delicacies of the most well known chefs. He traveled worldwide. His insurance was designed to cover any expenses that might prevent him from continuing to live the lifestyle of the rich and famous. He was pampered and groomed to perfection. Ahhh...the lifestyle of a king.

Unfortunately, King died but he was only mourned by a few, i.e., primarily those of the house in which he lived. You see, King was a dog. His name was King and he lived like a king.

Jesus, the true King, lived and died. He had no place to lay His head (Matthew 8:20). He was mocked, they smote him on the face, blasphemously spoke against Him and more. (Luke 22:63) When He died, he rose again from the dead and now the world knows about Him. He did not live the lifestyle of a king on this earth, but He now reigns as Lord of lords and King of kings. (! Timothy 6:15)
