Precious

Precious, is a 2009 American drama film that marked the acting debut of Sidibe who portrays a young woman struggling against poverty and abuse. The details portrayed in the film revealed my ignorance of the lives of people who I live and interact with every day. I know that such things as portrayed in the film exist and I also know that it is only by the grace of God that these things did not happen in my life. I will not divulge the contents of the film here but merely state that at the end of the film Precious plans to complete a GED test to receive a high school diploma equivalency. She walks out into the city with both of her children in tow, ready to start a new life and have a brighter future.

I cannot help but be reminded of how "Precious" we are to God, our Heavenly Father. He loved us so much that while we were yet disobedient (in our sins) to Him, He still sent His Son to die on the cross so that we (I) would have eternal life and not die and live in hell eternally. That's precious.
